War of the Branches: First Shot

Legislative branch leader Tom Delay takes aim at Judicial member. Thus begins the war of the branches. Is'nt this kinda scary and infuriating at the same time? Here you have congressman attacking the "judging" ability of a Supreme Court judge. It's scary because these people are not thinking but towing the line, meaning justice does'nt count.

Was Peter ever in Rome?

All this news coverage got me thinking about this again. Did Apostol Peter even go to Rome in his missionary work? From what I remember, Apostol Peter was overseeing christians in Asia and Apostol Paul was sent to the "Gentile" nations, or abroad. Notice these quotes:
"This letter is from Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ.I am writing to God's chosen people who are living as foreigners in the lands of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, the province of Asia, and Bithynia."
and this:
"After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome."

Learn a new language today!

iI started learning java today. It's starting out really slow. It's been a while since I open up a book or a tutorial page. But it's slowly coming back. Doing this made me remember this one more thing with linux that I liked. A long time ago I tried learning C and could'nt find a free compiler on windows. Linux had it, and it also had the command line interface that I loved. OK, got to write code. see you soon.

Who is God? and who is Jesus?

I learned this from church! There is only One God, the Father in heaven. So if someone goes around preaching something different, be wary. They give you all kinds of explanations and mysteries and all that, but don't be fooled. Keep it simple. It's plainly written in the bible. In the book of Isaiah, "God said He is God and there is no other".
What about the Lord Jesus? God said the Lord Jesus is His beloved son. Is the Lord Jesus also God? The Lord Jesus speaking to God said, "thaht they may know You, the only true God". In other verses the Lord Jesus introduced himself as a man.

What is faith?

Let's talk religion! What is faith? One online dictionary defines faith like this: “Confident belief in the truth”. Plain, isn't it. You believe in the truth. And when talking about religion, truth, according to the bible, are the words of God. And I'm sure, no professing Christian will argue that the words of God are written ONLY in the bible. But how to you get the 'truth'? Does it just drop from heaven? Of course not! It has to be preached. And not by anyone, but by those entrusted to teach the truth. How do you know if they are the one entrusted to preach the truth? Examine their teachings, of course. If they preach the same teaching as what was preached by the Lord Jesus, then you can be sure.

Weird dream I had last night. In my dream, the Pope JP died and then there was a power struggle in the Vatican and the catholic church split into three churches! weird...

Finally froze my linux session after two days. So I logged in as root and killed the log-in for the user. Don't know how to fix this problem in windows except to reboot.

Do you have broadband? Don't you feel really upset when it's suddenly slowed down right when you needed it to be fast, like trying to post on blogger. When you're not doing anything important, like looking at dirty pictures, it just flies.

Have you been following this Schiavo case. Pretty messed up in my opinion. It's amazing how Congress can pass a bill that quick when they're motivated. If they can only do this on many other "important things", like maybe impeaching Bush for lying about WMD.
